Panhandle-Plains Management and Servicing Corporation d/b/a Panhandle-Plains Student Loan Center (PPSLC) incorporated as a for-profit corporation under the laws of the State of Texas in 1999. We currently employ 190 individuals in seven cities and service over $2 billion in student loans. We provide full servicing of FFELP loans, Federal Perkins loans, institutional account receivables, and alternative student loans.

Reflective PPSLC’s continued growth in its core business activity, student loan servicing, is the accomplishment of passing the $2 billion mark in student loans being service, more than three times the volume in 1999, the year PPSLC was organized.

The Panhandle-Plains family maintains personal contact with all of their schools, lenders, and borrowers.  PPSLC services guaranteed student loans for several secondary markets including Panhandle-Plains Higher Education Authority. In addition, we originate guaranteed student loans for more than 70 Partnering Lending Institutions.

Annually, the U.S. Department of Education publishes “Top 100” lists for the student loan industry.  For fiscal year 2006, PPSLC’s largest loan servicing client, Panhandle-Plains Higher Education Authority, was ranked 33rd in holders of FFELP loans and 39th in consolidating lenders.  Additionally, four of the Center’s lenders were ranked among the top 100 nationally ranked originators of loans.
