The new log in replaces the Microsoft® Windows Live™ ID currently used for Online Account Access and for Consolidation and PPAL applications. To help you with this transition, we’ve answered a few questions you might have:
Will I be able to use my Microsoft® Windows Live™ ID to sign in?
Do I have to use a Microsoft® Windows Live™ ID in order to set up a new user?
May I use my email address as my user name?
Will I be required to provide my email address during registration?
What type of password will I need?
- Will I be able to use my Microsoft® Windows Live™ ID to sign in?
No, because the new log in replaces the use of Microsoft® Windows Live™ ID. You will be able to use an easy, one-time process to transfer your Microsoft® Windows Live™ ID to a new user name you set up:
- Follow the link “Use Windows Live ID” on the main sign-in page.
- You’ll log in with your Microsoft® Windows Live™ ID and then be directed to set up a new user name with a password on our system. You will only have to do this one time.
- Once you go through the process to set up a new account, your Microsoft® Windows Live™ ID will not work on this website. You may begin using your new user name and password after your user name has been activated

- Do I have to use a Microsoft® Windows Live™ ID in order to set up a new user?
Not at all. You will simply Register as a New User on the Login page and follow the instructions. If you have never used online account access before, this is where you would start: "Register New User".

- May I use my email address as my user name?
Yes. Our Online Account Access will allow you to use your email address as your User name. You may also choose another User name as long as it is 6 or more characters long.

- Will I be required to provide my email address during registration?
Yes. It is important we are able to contact you during both your loan application process and during your loan repayment. We require you to register with a valid email address, and you must be able to verify that you are able to receive emails from that address before you can sign in.

- What type of password will I need?
We are committed to protecting your privacy and recommend you choose a strong password; something that is not easily guessed. The password required for our new site will be between 8 and 20 characters. To increase the password strength and to safeguard your information, our new site will require the use of a special character and a combination of letters and numbers.
